I bet your mind is already racing to come up with those 5 types of people you hate the most at work! I work in a profession where there's a lot of people in the same department every day. With such a huge number of individuals coming together, there's always going to be friction at some point or the other. People bitch a lot at work about other people. Sometimes, you just want to strangle someone. Without further ado, let's explore my top 5 most annoying personality types I meet at work.
Type 1: The know it all
To be honest, i'm guilty of this. I hate being the know it all and I hate it when I meet know it alls. But sometimes, I just can't help answering whatever question it is that i heard. It's so instinctive i can't stop. Just sometimes though. On days when I feel particularly loyal to the geek in me.
The know it all... we all know at least one of these at work. They answer all the questions whether it's directed at them or not. It is impossible to have a conversation with anyone else without them butting in and throwing in their opinions and correcting facts. Supremely annoying.

Type 2: The dumb and clueless and "How the hell did she/he get this job?"
"erm. How do I do this?"
"I'm not sure about that... Can you show me?"
ETC.
I'm not saying it's not okay to ask questions. It is absolutely okay to ask questions. In fact ask as many as you need to do your job! But these people... they are something special. They either act like they know all of it and do something monumentally stupid or they literally don't know anything at all despite working at that place for a while. They don't even know the simple things. And... they are not new. So, how the hell did they even get through the interview? Ridiculous. In the end, you end up wasting your time on them in order to be a welcoming individual in the team and to provide a sense of support and camaraderie while sacrificing your own work. It's fine if it's just once or twice or when they are brand new or they just need some guidance. But every single day? That's just too much. You need to quit my friend.

Type 3: The Lazy Ass
"Oh... i don't want to do that."
"fuck it, i'm too tired."
"Must I? Really? I don't need to right?"
It's the quintessential lazy ass that everyone bitches about at work. You just absolutely need one of these sloppy people who hate doing any work at all. They're basically there to sit on their butts hoping no one would realize it until someone does and they start doing some work. It's ridiculous.

Type 4:The Bitcher. Non-stop bitching.
I hate this. I hate that. This isn't good enough. Oh my god. Life sucks. Work sucks. We should all just die. I just want to go home. Let me home. Oh my god, i hate my life.
Heard that before haven't you? It's that person. The bitcher. Non-stop bitching all day long. It's good sometimes but it can get downright annoying when done in excess. Work sucks. Life sucks. Financial condition sucks. The government sucks. The world sucks. Environment sucks. Well, i'd have told that person to leave work and never come back. Suck on that.

Type 5: The Rulebook
It's good to have one of these people to get the whole place in order or it'll be chaos. But sometimes, they go a little too far and they try to micromanage everything. No! You can't put your water here. Put it within the confines of that red box on your table. It's a new policy i came up with.
It's good to have them. It's just that... they're not always the most fun to work with. Seriously.
By the way, i chanced upon something interesting. Apparently there is a step-by-step guide for you to be less annoyed with people. How fun eh? hahaha! There are even pictures! It's the whole package. Maybe i should just work with my zen in future.
